Welcome To My New Site Here At Wix~Rachel Holbert Jones

Welcome to my new site here at Wix. My name is Rachel Holbert Jones and I rarely introduce myself but here I am doing just that. I started a brand new one yesterday on weebly. I'm trying both sites to see which one I like the best. I'm gearing my weebly site towards more controversial topics. It's Wickedly Crazed and I chose it because I really liked the theme and couldn't get it elsewhere. I like blogger and wordpress but they are limited on themes. Of course, I'm using the free versions but I have several blogs dedicated to different topics such as food, car life plus camping, car tripping(which is mostly odd photos), haunted abandoned carolinas(geared towards hauntings and abandoned houses), rizzo rei partners-rachel holbert jones(partly personal, partly business), razzle dazzle(social media based), livejournal blog which is strictly personal and of course my favorite medium for it's simplistic, minimalist style.

I've done this in the past, started several blogs and can't keep up with all of them or sometimes any of them and end up letting them fall by the wayside and eventually deleting them. The difference is before I'd put all of them on blogger occasionally creating one on wordpress but never liked wordpress all that much. It wasn't until I created a site on my own domain hosted at bluehost that I started using wordpress themes and I thoroughly enjoyed it until I fell behind, got busy with work and travel and forgot about my hosted sites and forgot to pay the dues and lost all of my content. Because of this I decided I'm not using paid hosting anymore because if I forget about it and let it go for a long time I'll lose my content and I have a lot of content. Luckily, the majority of it was saved at blogger so I only lost a few articles and I'm not one to delete or throw away any of my writings even if they're terrible. I like to go back and read what I've written from years earlier.

Right now, I'm primarily writing on blogger, wordpress and medium and trying to branch out a little to sites like livejournal. I believe from past experience that wordpress and blogger rank higher on google but after looking at a friend's sites I noticed weebly and wix ranked pretty high and in a short time so this is another reason for using these two sites.

Now for which site I like better weebly or wix I think it might be wix but my controversial topics are reserved for weebly so I'll have to learn to like it. It isn't bad it's just different.

This is my introduction to my new wix site and it's geared personal posts and articles. I already have one on wordpress that is more or less personal but included business posts and articles having to do with living in a car and sustainable living. Livejournal is personal but more image based. This one is strictly for diverse personal topics as the name suggests. I guess you could say it's geared towards more controversial topics too but less controversial while weebly is pushing the envelope hard. I want this one to push the envelope a lot less and just be a diverse group of personal posts and articles.

As I've never used wix before I hope I really like it. If I remember correctly, I tried using it once before but for an ecommerce site and I didn't like it for that.

Another reason for starting yet another blog is for online presence. I'm working towards improving my internet reputation for both my business and personal reasons. A few years ago someone posted some very negative things about me and again recently and it has taken me a very long time to push the negative posts down in google. It's hard work pushing defamatory content down and it can take months of very hard work to do it.
